King of the Cosmos Disappears

concerto for orchestra, threads and piano (2009)

In elementary school, I knew a boy who claimed to be the King of the Cosmos. He confided in me in secret that a ship would soon arrive on Earth for him, on which he would depart to take over the universe. After one summer vacation, he never showed up at school and I never heard of him again. So far.

The composition was created in the summer of 2009.
