Fragment
The poems by Polish twentieth-century poets used in the work seem to have one common theme - they are an attempt to capture short, inconspicuous moments and give them meaning. The music is to additionally support these attempts. The piece was composed in Louisville in 2006-2007. It is dedicated to Naomi Oliphant and Dan Weeks, whose exceptional passion for Eastern European syllables became the impetus for writing it.
