I met a head shepherd. He walked behind a large herd of sheep and goats, holding a can of beer in his hand, and was scolding the ruminants that dallied. He had a dog, a mutt, I think, that was very obedient. He was eager to talk. He explained that he was securing the rear of the herd and that there’s another shepherd at the front, an Ukrainian. He told me of wolves he had encountered in the area (I believed him, I’ve met one myself) and a bear (that I have doubts about). He complained that his bones hurt due to the cold. But overall, he praised his shepherd life. He was happy that the money was flying and you could always have a drink, not like at a sawmill, for example. I understand his enthusiasm.

A dream about a bull will perhaps prove prophetic. I will not explain it now.

All right, and now Baczyński with orchestra. I’m getting down to it.

PS - Thank you very much for the Koryfeusz Award.
